The energy-efficient inmex heating system is supplemented by cooling spirals embedded in the cylinder, through which cooling water can flow if required. The cooling system can be easily supplied from the machine's water manifold and controlled via an additional operating module. After the cooling process, we recommend blowing out the lines with compressed air to avoid the risk of blockages caused by evaporating residual water.

The rapid cooling simplifies material changes where the cylinder temperature has to be lowered. Despite thermal insulation, the inmex cylinder module cools down four times faster than a non-insulated standard unit in air. In addition, rapid cooling enables time advantages when rinsing after PEEK processing and offers a sensible approach to avoiding black points.

In the current issue of Kunststoffe you will find a detailed report on our technology. You can also download the entire article free of charge from our website.

The rapid cooling can be retrofitted regardless of the manufacturer and, together with the innovative cylinder heating, offers the greatest possible flexibility for the user.

At our stand, you have the opportunity to test a plasticising unit with rapid cooling. Heat the unit to your desired temperature and cool it down again. Try it out for yourself and experience this innovative technology at our stand! We look forward to seeing you.
